The Culture and Health Equity Scholars Awards recognize teams of global health scholars who present at the annual Cultural Justice and Health Equity Expo. These awards highlight students’ ability to engage with some of the world’s most pressing and intractable challenges, from structural inequities to systemic barriers in health.
Awardees are distinguished not only by their analytic acuity but by their willingness to imagine bold, justice-oriented solutions. Working as teams of emerging global health experts, they propose interventions that advance health equity and racial justice, demonstrating both intellectual rigor and moral clarity. In honoring these contributions, the awards affirm a vision of scholarship that is deeply attuned to culture, committed to justice, and indispensable to addressing the “wicked problems” that define contemporary global health.
